1. Tell us a bit about yourself and the business you are working in.
– My name is Androniki and I started working as an Account Executive at Couponology 2 years ago. Couponology is a boutique coupon publisher and although we’ve been around for 15+ years, and we’re a top publisher on networks like Rakuten and CJ, we consider ourselves ‘boutique’ because of the way we collaborate with advertisers. We view each partnership as our “only partnership” by tailoring campaigns to a brand’s needs and finding new ways to develop the relationship. From onsite exposure to TV Content Campaigns, we have something to offer to every brand in the space. We were also one of the first Coupon Publishers to focus on lifestyle images not only to help attract New Customers, but also to help brands that aren’t just known by their logo have more competitive conversions when they are next to brands that are a household name.
2. What inspired you to pursue a career in Affiliate Marketing?
– Honestly, I was always interested in marketing in general but given I studied Graphic Design, I didn’t know which marketing field would be best for me or where I could contribute more. I didn’t really know Affiliate Marketing is such a large industry until I started working at Couponology and I saw that there’s a lot to learn here and a lot I can offer. It’s been fun working on the publisher side of affiliate so even though I ended up here ‘by accident’, I wouldn’t change a thing!
3. What do you believe sets your approach apart from others in the affiliate marketing space?
– As I mentioned before, we offer opportunities through Affiliate that are unheard of.
Many brands were pleasantly surprised to find out we offer not only TV Segments, but Fashion Shows with top tier brands across the US! We pride ourselves in always trying to find new opportunities to offer our partners. This year we started testing Meta Ads with some of our premier partners and it’s worked out great for both sides! We try to listen to what our brands need, and we have so many things planned for 2025 that we’re excited to share with everyone.
4. Do you focus on specific industries or products within your niche, and why?
– Although we started out working mostly with fashion brands, we now work with pretty much every brand in every vertical no matter its size. Of course we perform better in some verticals like fashion, health & wellness, beauty etc. but we have opportunities for everyone. In this industry you also learn that you can never be sure about who is going to be your ‘next big hit’! I’ve been pleasantly surprised by brands I never thought were going to perform great so that’s why we’re happy to say we’re open to working with everyone one way or another.
5. What challenges do you face in growing your Affiliate Marketing business?
– As with every industry, affiliate has its challenges too. One thing I’ve noticed that’s somewhat hard is staying on top of everything in an industry that’s ever-changing. That’s why you must always think “What’s the next step? What can we do better?” and always be on your toes as it’s an ‘evolve or die’ scenario, without meaning to sound too dramatic! Thank God our team consists of very creative people and the environment we’ve built encourages everyone to share ideas so I wouldn’t say we’ve been challenged too much so far. One could also say that it’s challenging being a coupon publisher specifically as it takes a bit of convincing to get some brands that are more contentfocused to work with us. Again, we’re happy to offer a lot of different options for said brands!
6. What do you believe are the key factors in building successful, long-term relationships with brands? Do you want to share a very successful campaign?
– There’s still so much for me to learn in this industry but I believe some key factors to building strong partnerships are being sociable and friendly, understanding your client and their needs and always following up whether that’s via email or through a quick meeting. One of the relationships we’re proud of as a company is our partnership with QUAY Australia. QUAY is a sunglass company that’s managed by my teammate Eirini and we’ve consistently worked with them for a while now. This is a partnership Eirini has built from the ground up and we recently won an award with them for “Best Innovative Strategy” at CJU’s Excellence Awards! This also shows how much we care about our partners, and that evolving is truly the key to success!
7. Have you ever ended a partnership with a brand? Why?
– As far as I’ve been at this company, I haven’t had to end a partnership on bad terms. Only reason we may stop working with a brand is if they decide to take a step back from affiliate marketing or if we test out multiple terms and opportunities and see that it’s no longer beneficial for either side to keep this relationship going. However, we always do our best to not let this happen as we love to work with as many brands as possible and that’s why our team keeps growing and we’re planning to make it even bigger in the future!
8. Is there something else that you want to share?
– I’m so happy to see affiliate marketing is growing and that it’s reached countries like Greece as it’s an industry that has a lot to offer. We’re happy to keep working closely with Affiliate Motion and we hope to see you guys keep evolving too!
